Pist app privacy policy

In short: the app works on your device. Your entries — menu, diary, prayer list and confession notes — never leave your phone. The only thing that goes out is the technical subscription status; details below.

In effect from 1 September 2026

The main thing. Pist has no sign-up and no accounts. The calendar, menu, recipes, shopping list, diary, prayer list and confession notes are stored only in your phone’s memory. We cannot see these entries and cannot read them.

What stays only on the device

This data is not sent anywhere. Settings, menu, shopping and recipes can be saved via “Mine → Backup”. The personal entries listed below are deliberately left out of that file.

Personal entries

The prayer list, diary and confession notes follow a separate, stricter rule: even if the app gets sync between devices in future, these entries will not be part of it. They are also left out of backups, create no analytics events and never appear in notifications. Confession notes can be cleared separately after confession.

Subscription payment

The subscription is set up and processed by the store — the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your card details: neither the app nor we can see them.

To let the app know whether the subscription is active, we use the RevenueCat service. It receives an anonymised technical device identifier and your purchase history — which subscriptions you started, renewed or cancelled, and when. This is what we declare to the stores as the only type of data that leaves the device. Your name, email, phone number and entries are not passed on. Deleting the app removes the local data; to erase the record in RevenueCat, write to us — the address is below.

What there isn’t

Notifications

Reminders are created by the phone itself, and only if you turned them on. They do not pass through any server and do not contain your entries.

Children

The app is not intended for children and does not collect any data about age.

Your rights

Your entries are stored only with you, and you control them directly: deleting the app removes them from the device. There is no need to ask us separately — we cannot see them.

Separately, there is the subscription record in RevenueCat. It contains none of your entries, only the technical device identifier and purchase history. To have it erased, write to pist.app.ua@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days. Cancelling the subscription itself is done in the App Store or Google Play — that is a separate step.

Changes

If the policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Who is responsible for this data

The Pist app is run by Olena Tovstoliak, sole proprietor, Ukraine. This is the person the GDPR calls the data controller: the one to contact with privacy questions and with a request to erase a record.
